hi shantanu, it varies every year, but i would suggest that aim for 580 plus,to be on safer side, its high , i know but absolutely doable , so aim for it.NEET 2018 Examination is most likely to be held on 10th May (Thursday) 2018 . NEET 2018 Application Form will be released in the month of January 2018.CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in india except aiims, and jipmer. The exam pattern is as follows:-
physics-45 questions each carrying 4 marks
chemistry-45 questions,each carrying 4 marks
and biology 90 questions each carrying 4 marks as well.hope this helps good luck
Every year the cutoff varies. The competition increases every year. But a score of 550-600 is amazing and will.help you get a seat in any college.
Goodluck.
Hope this helps.
Hi Shantanu Bhardwaj
Talking directly in terms of marks, A score of 400+ will be a safe score for Manipal University.
Cut off score of previous year NEET was as follows
Category | Marks Range | Qualifying Criteria | Number of Candidates |
Others | 685-145 | 50th Percentile | 1,71,329 |
OBC | 678-118 | 40th Percentile | 1,75,226 |
SC | 595-118 | 40th Percentile | 47,183 |
ST | 599-118 | 40th Percentile | 15,710 |
UR – PH | 474-131 | 45th Percentile | 437 |
OBC – PH | 510-118 | 40th Percentile | 597 |
SC – PH | 415-118 | 40th Percentile | 143 |
ST – PH | 339-118 | 40th Percentile | 36 |
Look you can't predict the cutoff marks for any college this year because it varies each year so please don't waste your time looking for it from the previous years cutoff you would only get an rough idea not the exact one so I recommend don't try to search for it getting wasted your precious time.look scoring more than 500+ will be a safer side to get into the kmc manipal for general category. I would recommend you to keep studying hard till the exam date instead of wasting precious time which won't return if wasted.
For admission to KMC Mangalore or Manipal,
As per the standards of 2017, the cutoff in unreserved category was 360 in handicapped category 324 and unreserved category 288 out of 720.
However I think the cutoff does not necessarily indicate the marks obtained by the student with the worst rank who got into the college and is just about the eligibility criteria.
So my advice to you would be try scoring in excess of 450 out of 720 ,preferably above 500 , if possible above 550 to strengthen your chances of getting an admission to the college you desire.
You can then either access the college through a good all India rank in the 15% all India quota all if you are from that still itself you can also avail the 85% State quota for the same.
The basic requirement for this would be a thorough practice of MCQs which are in the form of a mock examination and time bound so that you have a good practice of answering the maximum number of questions correctly, leaving behind the dubious one so that you have least negative marking and your total score gets you above pal and you get admission to the institute you desire.
