There is nothing called passing marks in NEET Exam. In NEET, it is qualifying marks rather which is 50th percentile for general category and 40th percentile for reserved categories. Try to score 550+. Then you'll definitely get a good medical college.
If you want to score good marks in NEET then just follow simple steps -
Clear your basic concepts.
Be thorough with NCERT textbook. Its a must.
Solve previous year question papers.
Take mock tests to assess your progress.
Solve questions from any reference book you prefer for competitive exams

It is with utter disappointment that I inform you that it is impossible to determine the cut off marks for a particular state in the examination. Candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination may refer to previous years' cut off marks as a whole for the examination but not for any particular state as such.
There are two ranks provided to each of the candidates appearing for the examination. One is the All India Rank and the other is the Regional or State Rank. Candidates may choose from either of the two in order to test their eligibility for admission to any of the medical colleges spread across the country.
The cut off marks varies from year to year and so only an approximate can be determined from the evaluation of previous years' cut off.

Given the immense amount of competition, a score around 620 should fetch you what you want.

Basically admission into this college will be tough, be ready to give your best. usually the cut off for st johns is above 99 percentile or i would say even higher. but if you are a catholic it might vary from 80 to 85 percentile. Which totally sums up to the fact that to be on the safe side i would suggest you to score above 600 if you have no reservation.

I know NEET is round the corner and you might be apprrehensive about admissions but please take note that every year the cut off varies depending on the level of the exam. So the best bet is to simply concentrate and revise all the syllabus.

The competition to get into St. John's Medical College, Bangalore is overwhelming. However, it isn't Impossible to get Admissions in this prestigious institution. If you work hard and give it your best, you can definitely enroll.
In 2016, the closing Rank through All India Open Merit was 3448 which corresponds to a score of approximately 520- 530 out of 720 marks.
Moreso, its a religious minority college so the seats reserved for General or AIQ are less. Try to score 600+ to increase your chances to get a seat here.
