NEET is the entrance exam for admissions to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses. The cut off score is the minimum marks required to qualify the entrance exam.National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the cut off mark along with the declaration of the result.
The cut off percentile for NEET 2019 is given below :
Category Cut off percentile
Unreserved 50
SC/ST/OBC 40
Unreserved - PH 45
SC/ST/OBC - PH 40
Calculation of cut off percentile :
Suppose your rank is 200 in NEET and total number of students who appered for the exam is 7,00,000.
Then the cut off percentile would be,
(7,00,000-200)/7,00,000*100 = 99.97
According to last year's score 50 percentile would make you eligible to apply for Medical/Dental Colleges.
All the best!!!
To pass means to qualify in NEET. If you belong to UR Category, then you should score 50 percentile of the top NEET score. It is 45% for UR-PWD. It is 40 percentile of the top NEET score for OBC,SC,ST. If you score this, you will be considered qualified in NEET. But these marks will not get you a seat in any Medical College.
