Greetings,
Rohith it depends on in the college where you want to apply and the packages you will get after completing your degree . So if you go for National law colleges which are known as NLU's all over India , you need to prepare for CLAT entrance exam which will be conducted on 14th MAY 2019 [tentative] .
National Law Universities are highly recommended because you get the best exposure , scholarships, Mooting culture , various committees and other benefits apart from the range of packages they offer . If you are really passionate about law then try getting into top 8 NLU's . I am NLU student so you can rely on every information stated .
So the fee structure of 17 NLU all over India would surely differ some NLU's above in the rank card will demand higher fee than lower NLU . But the fee will be minimum 2 lakh for first year then minimum 1.5 lakh from the second year onwards . The additional charges might various because there are some NLU which provide 100% registration fee for all moots ,ADR or any other competition you take part in outside college . So the additional charges would be minimum 1.5 lakh .
If you will go for private colleges then
SYMBIOSIS LAW COLLEGE , PUNE , NOIDA , HYDERABAD
FEE : Minimum 3 lakh
But if we talk about the packages offered and other facilities then Symbiosis Law College ,Pune is the best ,then Noida and last Hyderabad . Since these are private university some additional charges will go high such as hostel , mess , mooting etc charges will take the total expenditure to around 5 lakh . The fee will be less from second year but not these additional charges.
For this you need to give SET which will also be conducted in MAy or JUNE
JINDAL GLOBAL LAW UNIVERSITY
FEE: 6 LAKH
And the additional charges will definitely go up by 2 lakh or more because it is really expensive to study in JINDAL but they have good scholarship programme so if you have got good grades in your 10+2 or you are good in extra curricular activities and have won many prizes in past or If you top LSAT exam which is the entrance exam for admission to 13 colleges which accept LSAT scores .
National Law University , DELHI
This is one of the best NLU's across India which has one of the least fee demand and provides amazing facilities [ be it mooting culture , exposure , guest lectures , etc] and if you talk about additional charges , they will be less in comparison .
FEE: 1.5 lakh
To get into NLU , DELHI you need to give AILET entrance exam which is very tough to crack and the seat offered by NLU , DELHI is around 80 only
GGSIPU
The entrance exam is IPUCET so you have 11 participating college which accepts it result but only the main campus of GGSIPU is good which is UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW AND LEGAL STUDIES . The fee structure for this college can vary from 1-2 lakh and it provides admission to only 80 students . The additional charges would be less . If you go for other participating colleges in IPUCET then go for VIVEKANANDA INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES which has less fee .
So the entrance exam listed and the colleges mentioned are the most common and famous . There are many other private colleges also like:
NIRMA
[which accept CLAT score ; FEE: 3 lakh and the additional charges can go above more than 2 lakh because NIRMA provides hostel and mess facilities at very high charges . ] .
ARMY LAW SCHOOL, MOHALI
FEE : 2 lakh
But go remember that it provides only around 10 seats for candidates whose parents are not army general or personnel . Additional charges would be less being an army law school .
ENTRANCE EXAM : AIL LET
So in the end I would say that you should arrange for around 3 lakh per year depending on government and private college.
If you have some other law college in mind which has not mentioned in this article I will suggests that you drop a comment or post another question .
I hope this article might have helped you answer all your queries and doubts if not do drop a comment or post another question and I will surely help you out .
Hey.
Admission in various Law colleges is done through different procedures. Admission in most of the top colleges is done through Entrance Exams and some colleges even consider your 12th Class marks for admission. The fees of Each college varies. The fees in various NLUs or National law Universities varies from 1.5- 2.5 Lakhs per year Lakhs per year. But in some top colleges like GLC Mumbai etc the fees is as low as around 6000 Rs only for one year. Hence the fee would vary according to each college.
Best of luck
Depending upon the university, it can be done with an annual fee of RS 20000/- which includes all the expenses to RS 300000/- annually. All the degrees have same value in the court if law to start the practice or to become judge
- If anyone clear the exam of CLAT then the amount can be up-to 1 lakhs
- There is no exact amount to do law degree
Hope this information is helpful
Thank you
