Getting a seat in Medical College depends upon the individuals performance in entrance examination conducted by various medical institutions as well as other regulatory bodies for assessing candidates eligibility to pursue the course.
So basically, on the basis of your performance in the higher secondary examination, you will not get seat in any medical college, instead your performance in the higher secondary examination will decide whether you are eligible to write the medical entrance examinations or not.
In order to be considered eligible for almost every medical entrance examination, you will need to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
And 45% marks in aggregate if you belong from creamy layer thats SC/ST/OBC/PH

For general Category the percentage required to be eligible for an admission is 50%. Take note that this is calculated using your score in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English. For other reserved categories the required percentage is 45%. Now as you are aware this is just the eligibility criteria, it doesn't imply that board scores should be terribly low. Do good, pass well!

Hi,
For General Category you need 50% marks.
For Physically Handicapped is 45%
and for OBC/SC/ST is 45% (PH is 40%)
Also, that the marks scored for Math would not be taken into consideration in this exam.
