The minimimum marks shall vary every year as specified by CBSE.



As per 2017 trends the minimum marks were as follows:-



For General Category 81

For OBC NCL 49

For SC 32

For ST 27.





The total seats allotted for all NITs are 17868, for IIITs it is 3433, for centrally funded Technical Institution it is 3919.



To get amdission into top NITs and IIITs, candidate must secure minimum 75% aggregate marks in class 12th for General Category.



All in all there are total 81 top Institution participating with JEE Mains score.

The JEE main cutoff for 2017 was lowest in last 5 years and this deep fall was due to increase in number of qualifying candidates and jncreasing difficult level over the years.
