Hello Aspirant

Students that fall within the PwD category will be given a 5% reserve when applying to medical schools. To be eligible for reservation advantages, candidates must also follow the authority's regulations and requirements.

The degree of handicap should be checked or assessed according to the government's requirements.

A "Certificate of Disability" is required.

NTA has authorised 12 places where disability certificates can be obtained.

Under ongoing times due to absence of methods to assess the extent of mental illness it is not recommended. However in future with better methods it would be assessed and benefits would be provided, if the disability is equal to or more than 40% or if the person is unable to carry out his duties then they are not eligible for medical course.

Hope it helps!!!
