As thee percentile concept is a newly introduced system to provide JEE mains result, it is difficult to predict the exact percentile required to clear the JEE Mains and become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. But we can still make an approximate idea of how the rankings will be based with respect to percentiles.
- For general category students, an approximate number of 1.1 lakh students are selected every year. According to previous year cut off which was 74 marks, we can expect that the minimum percentile cutoff to qualify for JEE Mains this year will be around 88.
- For OBC-NCL category students, an approximate number of 65000 students are selected every year. According to previous year cut off which was 45 marks, we can expect that the minimum percentile cutoff to qualify for JEE Mains this year will be around 65.
