How much percentile is required to get a call from iim A,B,C,i. For SC category student.....?
For top IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to have above 92+ percentile to get a call and above 95+ percentile to increase the probability of your conversion. For other old IIMs like IIM K, L and I you need to have above 85+ percentile and 90+ to increase the probability of your conversion. And for getting a call from new IIMs or ultra new IIMs you need to have 80+ percentile.
All the best!
Hey, AakashDeep never goes with the min. cut-off set by any IIM. Getting percentile above the min. cut-off only make you eligible for further evaluation but doesn't at all make sure to get a call for the second round.
For top IIMs like IIM A, B and C you need to have above 92+ percentile to get a call and above 95+ percentile to increase the probability of your conversion. For other old IIMs like IIM K, L, I and S you need to have above 85+ percentile and 90+ to increase the probability of your conversion. And for getting a call from new IIMs or ultra new IIMs you need to have 80+ percentile.
There is again no surety of selection or getting a call from these colleges because CAT marks are not the only parameter involved in the selection procedure. After CAT exam every college in which you have applied prepares a merit list to call students for next round of interview based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer whose weightage varies for all different colleges.
And after your second round of interview again a new merit list is made which also includes marks of your interview, GD and WSAT which along with CAT marks generally have the highest weightage.
So along with a high percentile, you need to have an overall excellent profile. All the best!!

Hi Akashdeep,
All three IIMs (IIM-A, IIM-B and IIM-C) usually follow a more or less similar pattern for the admissions. The CAT cutoff usually stays quite low for the SC category students in comparison to General category students.
