National Institute of Technology Puducherry and Pondicherry College of Engineering both goes almost side by side. However, Pondicherry Engineering College has better ranking an ratings than NIT Puducherry. NIT Puducherry has been ranked at 130th Position by NIRF among top Engineering colleges of India in 2020 while ranking of Pondicherry Engineering college is 122. Being one of the oldest colleges of the town, Pondicherry Engineering College has many experienced faculties. Coming to placements, these are almost same. It would be difficult to compare. Both core as well as software and sales based companies recruit from these two institutions.
