GATE 2025: Syllabus | Sample Papers
Hello
Less than 800 generally. I know one of my friends from Computer Science who ranked 900–1000, he could not get IIT .
It also depends on how many candidates are appearing in GATE on a specific subject i.e. GATE SCORE.
It also depends on which IIT you are targeting. You have to rank within 50 for Computer Science IISC. If you target IIT ROORKEE for civil, then your target must be 150–200. But with rank 200, you may not get admission in other IIT/IISC in Computer Science.
That is what I think.
Hello,
GATE score is the marks obtained by a candidate and mean of top 10 students who appeared in the same paper. It will change every year, and with each paper. So it is complex to suggest a GATE score which will get you a seat it prestigious IITs or IISC.But to be on safe side you need to score 65+ which will increase the chance of getting you a seat in IITs and other prestigious colleges.Generally IITs GATE score will be around 800, it is subjected to change.
