The score required to crack JEE Mains depends on different factors , including your category , the specific college you are aiming for and the number of candidates appearing for the exam .

Here's some general guidelines :

1. General Category :

you need a score around 90 - 100+ out of 300 in JEE Mains .

To get admission in top NITs or IITs ,  score of 150 - 200+ can be competitive , depending on the branch and institute .

2. Reserved Categories ( OBC , SC , ST ) :

The qualifying marks for JEE Mains are generally lower for reserved categories .

A score of 70 - 100+ can be sufficient for qualifying , but admission to top institutions may require higher scores , similar to the general category .
