Dear Rudra, to be qualified in NEET, you should be scoring a minimum of  40%. This 40 percentile is based on the top marks scored. And cut off varies from year to year and State to State. Cut off depends on the no. of candidates who appeared for the exam, the difficulty of the exam amd also the no. of candidates who qualified in the exam. In 2018, the cut off marks for OBC was 96-118. Having said that all qualified candidates cannot be guaranteed an admission. For example in Karnataka alone for a Government seat, the cut off marks ranged from 542 to 607. This is because not every Government college has the same cut off. So any score less than 550 puts you in a difficult spot for a Government seat in MBBS.
