Thagal Kunju Musaliar Collge of Engineering is the first Government aided engineering college of Kerala, situated in Kollam. The foundation stone of the college was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad in 1956, the first President of independent India. It offers courses in eight branches of engineering at the undergraduate level. Passed 10+2 examination of Kerala Higher Secondary Board or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, securing minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% aggregate in all three subjects.
