Dear aspirant,
There is as such no minimum cut off marks pre decided for jee mains because it depends on various factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
But on a general basis for cse branch a percentile of 96+ to 99+ is a must for lower to top order nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela, Calicut ,Trichy, warangal and few more.

Hope you are doing great. In order to get CSE branch in Btech, you need to score 95 to 99 percentile in the JEE mains. Because many of the students give the exam every year, the competency rate is very high. Therefore, you need to score really more in the mains exam, to get a better NIT. Otherwise if you wish to get seat in private institutes, it is enough if you score from 80 to 90 percentile.
