How much syllabus is same for mpsc and upsc
MPSC is a State level exam and UPSC is National Level exam. MPSC is a 3 stage selection process with Prelims, Mains and Interview.
Prelims has 2 papers.
In Paper 1, Current affairs of the State and their National and International Importance, Indian History in reference to Maharashtra and Indian National Movement, Maharashtra, Indian and World Geography, Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Biodiversiry, Climate Change and General Science are the topics covered.
In Paper 2, Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General mental ability, Basic numeracy, Marathi and English comprehension skills are covered.
UPSC is a 3 stage selection process involving Prelims, Mains and Interview which tests your personality test. Prelims has 2 Papers namely General Studies and CSAT.
General Studies has Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change and General Science.
CSAT has Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability, Basic numeracy and Data Interpretation.
