Hi Manav!

You see its all very subjective and depneds from person to person. Some do it in a year, some 8 months, some in 6 months and some even in a week. It is all about how clear your basics and concepts are and how well abreast you are with the day to day happenings of the country and world.

I would suggest you take a paper and sit with the syllabus. Start writing all topics you are good in. At the last the topics remaining would be your weak points. Decide accordingly how much time is required for you to get good in those topics and make a routine accordingly. Side by side read the newspaper everyday and try to do some internships ,whatever form they be, to enhance your CV.

Good Luck. Hope it helps.
