There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Most experts recommend that students study for at least six hours a day or 42 hours a week or so (excluding the time they spend on coaching classes) to prepare adequately for the JEE. But that recommendation is only useful if you can design a timetable that suits your specific needs. Here are some tips to decide how many hours of daily effort will suit you.
Hope this will be helpful for you.
Best of luck
Hello
Actually, how much time or hour one should study in a day for jee main preparation varies from one person to another as everyone has a different pace of learning things
For example,
It is possible that you take 2 hours to complete a particular topic but the same topic is completed by some other person in 1.5 hours, it is also possible that some other person takes 2.5 hours to complete the same topic . So, how much time you should devote towards studies depends upon your pace of grasping or learning things
Moreover, more than the number of hours you study , what matters is the quality of study.
For Instance,
if you are studying 12 hours hours a day but without concentration and focus then it will be of less use as you will not be able to grasp well what you read and you will take longer time to cover a topic or chapter so quality matters a lot.
*In general focused study of 8 hours in a day is enough for preparation. To avoid wastage of time and use time effectively you can make a routine and religiously follow it .
-
PHYSICS is the toughest part for most of the medical aspirants as it has both numericals and concepts to deal with ,so keep at least 3 hours each day for physics
-
In Chemistry you have to deal with reactions and learn them and solve questions as well, so give at least 2 hours to Chemistry
-
Mathematics is all about practising questions, so try to give at least around 3 hours each day for maths
*Be regular / continuous :- instead of reading 15 hours one days, and skipping studies the next day, you should read 8 hours every day.
*set goals like today I will cover these topics today, and distribute your time accordingly and meet them without fail.
*take short breaks of 10 minutes in between your studies, asstudying continuously can be tiring and stressful which makes it difficult to focus , so take breaks in order to relax and refresh your brain.
*There's no shortcut, so even if you don't like a topic then also you should give it time and go through it twice or even thrice whole- heartedly and then you will definitely understand it.
