HELLO

ITs tricky question. Because not all the topper are same. There are two kinds of them. One who reads slowly but he/she will finish the subject for the exams. Other type is, he/she will read very quickly and finish the subject.

It doesn't depend on how many hours they spending time during the exams and normal time. As I said you, Listening in the class will help them. See, even they didn't study some questions, but they will answer with the contents they listened during the class. It depends on your learning speed, style and your curriculum.

For certain learning styles, such as those who rely on rewriting their notes to memorise it, you’re naturally going to spend more time studying than someone who learns best by listening to the information.

Your curriculum also has an impact on the amount of time. If you’re taking mostly STEM subjects, you’ll probably spend slightly less time than a humanities student. These subjects are just easier to score in (although harder to understand) and once you’ve got a foundation down it just gets easier. Most humanities have an essay component as well, which takes uo quite a but of time.

the study methodology differs alot for everyone , learning hours depend on the catching ability and the grasping power. Simply productivity is more important than hours one put in.However there are some common traits toppers have

*they plan their study schedule and try to stick to it.

*they set realistic targets(one cannot study for 12–15 hours daily for a whole year) .

*they analyse their strengths and weaknesses early and work accordingly.

*they make persistent efforts ro hit the bulls eye.

*they don't copy others and develop the strategy best suited for them.

*they don't mug up the questions but understand the concepts.

*for them revision and clear concepts are the most important key to success.

*they know efficiency decreases after a certain limit, optimise your working capacity but never cross the threshold.

A mugger can be a topper and we all have such examples in our life because the competition we face is most of the times based on the facts and figures and not on the intelligence and understanding skills. But they often fail to perform and compete in real life scenarios. So work smart not hard.

HOPE IT HELPS

ALL THE BEST
