How much we need to score out of 400 in mba ggsipu cet entrance exam to get into top colleges of ipu? Please advice some good books.Thankyou
Greetings,
Shiva I would suggest that you should work hard to get atleast more than 290 which means if you are not a Delhi Region General you need to get minimum rank as 50 -67 for MBA and minimum rank as 109-260 for MBA in financial markets to get into University School of Management Studies and Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology which are the best MBA colleges affiliated under Indraprastha University.
But if you are not aiming for these two and you are not a Delhi Region General then you need to at least score 270 to end up in one of the many colleges which are affiliated(there are more than 24 ) by Indraprastha which means getting minimum rank as 1050. It is really difficult to get into any of the top MBA colleges under its affiliation if you do not have good rank, It is because of the less number of seats available and reservation for the benefit of Delhi Region student. But if you are a Delhi Region General you need to score 230 to get into USMS or Agrasen which means your rank should be near 300-500 . Bhai Parmanand Institute of Business Studies and Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies are also one of the best colleges .
According to the exam pattern
English Language and Comprehension(30%)
General Awareness (10%)
Numerical Ability (30%)
Reasoning ability including Data Interpretation (30%)
which means you need to focus more on the higher weightage subjects. So for scoring decent in English I would suggest that you read editorials from The Hindu or The Indian Express everyday so that you will be in a constant touch with improving your English as well as general knowledge ;for numerical ability first be clear of your basics and for that refer to RD OR RS Sharma of 9th and 10th standard; take the help of previous years MBA entrance exam papers ( other than IPU CET because you will not find much of them online ) ;search for other entrance exam papers like SSC ,CLAT etc because the pattern of almost all entrance exams is same which will help you practice regularly ;for reasoning try MK Pandey's Analytical reasoning or RS Agarwal; go through GMAT books and online material available; to score for general awareness try Competition In Focus magazine's weekly edition and download 1 or 2 general awareness app. At last I would suggest that be prepared for this exam as it is really tough to score high as it is getting really competitive due to the number of students and quality of questions are also getting better.
