It is never the priority that how much we study it matters vthat how effectively we study.
For clearing neet you should have to learn each and evry important definition of biology and try to learn every concept of physics and chemistry.
So for that if you are able to do in 3 hrs it's your choice Or if you can do that in 8 hrs it all depends upon you.

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) is a competitive exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for aspirants seeking admissions to undergraduate MBBS and BDS courses all over India.
NEET UG Exam is mainly based on 3 subjects – Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). There are a total of 180 MCQs, with a time duration of 3 hours. For every correct answer, candidates are awarded 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
The answer for how much you need to study for the neet depends on how much marks you need to score. 70% of the questions come from NCERT textbooks, so candidates should not ignore NCERT books. More focus has to be given to Biology subject since it covers the most of questions in NEET.
