Hey Aspirant,
Hope you are doing great,
After completing the 10th from Medical stream, it would take anywhere from 5.5 to 12 years.
MBBS takes 5.5 years to complete, then you do your postgraduate studies, which take another 3 years, and if you want to do specialization, it will take another 3 years, for a total of 12 years. Some people want to go a step further and do a one-year fellowship after their super specialization.
But this is not an ideal world competition is fierce and seats are limited, so everyone must take a one-year break to prepare for entrance exams at each stage.
If you attend a government medical college, you will begin earning money right after your MBBS, during your internship, ranging from $8k to $19k, depending on the state. If you attend a private medical school, you will not receive a stipend for your internship.
The same is true for your postgraduate studies; if you attend a government college, your stipend can range from 70k to 22k.
If you decide to become a Junior Resident or a CMO after completing your MBBS, you will be paid between 70k and 1lakh. However, it varies by state.

Hi,
Hope you are doing good.
You have to choose science combination with biology as a core subject in your 12th standard. Then MBBS is goona take 5.5 years basically academics are of 4.5 years and 1-year internship is mandatory for it that is why 5.5 years.
After then if you are thinking of doing specialization in a particular subject then MS or MD is required and it will take 3 years to complete.
If we sum up like 12th will take 2 years, MBBS will take 5.5 years and MD or MS will take 3 years.
Hence 10.5 years is required to become a doctor. And some people also think of doing super specialization after that,
It will of the duration of 2 years.

Hello Aspirant ,

Distribution of total time is :
Greetings!

Hi reader ,
after class 10th , for pursuing Medicine you opt for biology as your core subject and the subjects you study include physics, chemistry and biology.
after your 12th boards exam you appear for the National ELIGIBILTY CUM ENTRANCE TEST NEET UG. after securing a good rank you take admission in a government medical college for pursuing MBBS.
after 5.5 years of MBBS you appear for NEET PG for pursuing MD/MS in your desired branch.
after your NEET pg exam you serve as a resident doctor in the government medical college you took admission in for 3 years.
after those three years you appear for NEET SS for super speciality in your branch.
after clearing NEET SS you study for 2 more years and get the degree of DM/MCH .
after these exams you finally become a doctor. so after 10th it takes atleast 14 years to become an established doctor , subjected to the fact that you donot take any drop for any of three above mentioned entrance exam.
thank you
See if you want to be a Doctor after 10th then you need to study Physics, Chemistry and Biology in your 10+2. On the year of 10+2, if you crack the medical entrance of NEET in the first attempt then you will get admission on the year of 10+2 at medical colleges. Now the courses such as MBBS are 5.5 years course including 1 year of Internship. After MBBS you will be a registered doctor, but nowadays the specialization is required which will required further time but after MBBS you can treat patients as an Consultant Physician.
Apart from MBBS you can also be doctors by studying BDS, BHMS, BAMS etc but if you wish to be an Allopathic doctor then MBBS is the pathway and if you want to be a Dentist then BDS is the way. BHMS is for Homeopathic medicine and BAMS is for Ayurveda.
So in total the time required will be around 7.5 years after 10th if you clear the entrance with no year gap.
