I hope you are doing well. As per your mentioned query , according to NDA exam eye defect can be considered but they consider only mild level of it.

According to eligibility criteria of NDA exam , student correct vision should be 6/6 and in the worst case it can be 6/9.

For NDA , the maximum acceptable eye defect varies by branch.

For Army & Navy , unaided vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other , and corrected vision must be 6/6 in both eyes .

For Air Force , myopia should not exceed -2.5D , and hypermetropia should be within +3.5D .

Color blindness or night blindness leads to disqualification from the Air Force .

  • Better eye: 6/6

  • Better eye: 6/6

• Myopia (near-sightedness) : Not more than -2.5D

• Hypermetropia (far-sightedness) : Not more than +3.5D

• Astigmatism : Up to ±2.5D

• Colour blindness : Complete colour blindness is not acceptable

For pilot entry, stricter vision standards apply:

• Uncorrected vision : 6/6 (better eye), 6/9 (worse eye)
• Myopia : Up to -0.75D
• Hypermetropia : Up to +1.5D

Candidates with Lasik surgery are not eligible for pilot entry.
