the ozone depletion occurs due to the contact of chlorine and bromine atoms with the ozone in the stratosphere, they destroy the ozone molecules. One chlorine atom can destroy over 100,000 ozone molecules before it can be removed from the stratosphere. Ozone can be destroyed more quickly than it can be naturally created.
Preventive measure for ozone depletions are :
- Minimizing the use of cars
- Avoiding using cleaning products that are harmful for the environment
- Avoid consumption of gases that are harmful for the environment
- Buying local products
- Maintain air conditioners
