the ozone depletion occurs due to the contact of  chlorine and bromine atoms with the ozone in the stratosphere, they destroy the ozone molecules. One chlorine atom can destroy over 100,000 ozone molecules before it can be  removed from the stratosphere.  Ozone can be destroyed more quickly than it can be naturally created.

Preventive measure for ozone depletions are :

• Minimizing the use of cars
• Avoiding using cleaning products that are harmful for the environment
• Avoid consumption of gases that are harmful for the environment
• Buying local products
• Maintain air conditioners

Ozone layer depletion had been a matter of serious concern and it is depleted by various ways.

When chlorine and bromine atoms come into contact with ozone then ozone layer depletion occurs and note it occurs at a huge rate. For one chlorine atoms thousand of ozone molecules gets destroyed as free radical chlorine atoms is too reactive.

Another way in which the ozone layer gets depleted is through cfc's . First in all refrigerator cfc was used but nowadays it has been replaced.

The ozone layer depletion can be prevented by -

Do not use air conditioning aur refrigeration that use cfc and instead by aerosol products.

Conduct inspection of refrigerants to prevent any leakage.
