Hi Deepak,

ational Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019. Candidates interested need to check the complete JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria and only if they fulfil it, must proceed to fill the application form of the entrance exam otherwise, it will be rejected. JEE Main eligibility criteria 2019 contain parameters like age, educational qualification, subjects in 10+2 etc. which candidates will have to fulfil. It is important to note that the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 is for candidates to know whether they can appear in the national entrance exam or not; it by no means is the eligibility for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs which JEE Main offers. Since the exam conducting for JEE Main 2019 has changed from CBSE to NTA, it is important for candidates to know that the eligibility for the exam for 2019 remains same and there will be two attempts - one in January other in April, also, there will no change in the number of yearly attempts i.e. 3. Candidates still can appear in JEE Main exam three times in three consecutive years.

Candidates will be considered eligible to appear in JEE Main 2019 on the basis of the following parameters, provided, they fulfil them all:

  • Date of birth

  • Qualifying exam i.e. 10+2 or equivalent exam

  • Qualifying exam subjects

  • Marks secured in the qualifying exam

There are 3 attempts allowed, you have to be either appearing 12TH from CBSE or any equivalent board or have completed 12th

Candidate born after oct 1994 are eligible for this exam

These are the qualifying factors, I hope this clear enough,

now to prepare, i would suggest to make sure your 12th scores are on point and as good as you can get them, as this is a competitive exam, and it willmake you slog but the results are worth it

you have to juggle JEE MAIN classes or prep with 12th boards exams, and there is no other wayout

but what canhelp you is making a timetable and adhering to it

the struggle is only fo this year, and then you can reap the rewards,

also you should refer to books which are up to date with revised syllabus

All the best to you

Hello Aspirant,

This should be your plan :

Jee is considered one of the toughest exams of India.

Just start with the syllabus

1. Analyse the syllabus wholly.

2. Highlight the topics which you haven't read yet, and start with them

3. Make a routine and divide the timing for the three subjects.

4. If you are in 11th, everything would seem to be very new to you. So start with a basic book, I would suggest for the very recommended NCERT  for physics and chemistry.

For maths, practice from r.d Sharma or RS Agarwal.

5. After completion of every chapter, you practice the DDP and study material of any good coaching or else, practice previous years question s.

For phy, i would recommend you to study and practice D.C Pandey.

For chem, ncert +RC Mukherje(physical) , I think that would be enough .

After, completing your syllabus, probably in the month of Dec, start giving me test series of a good institute.

Remember, consistency+ hard work is all what you require to crack any exam.

You need to have 80  % atleast.

I hope this helps.
