Hello aspirant,
The cat exam is based on three sections. 1) Quantitative aptitude 2) Data interpretation and logical reasoning 3) Verbal ability Total 100 questions are asked from all three sections. There is time limit of 1 hr for each section and you can't swipe between the sections. The quant section is based on maths of class 6-10 std so if you have good basic knowledge of class 6-10 maths then it will be a plus point for you. Start from zero level of each chapter and build your concepts and then move to questions. Try to solve as many questions as possible it will help you to get more types of questions and your solving ability will also increase simultaneously. For DI and LR section solve 2 sets of each DI and LR daily. To score good in this section all you need is practice and speed. In verbal section mostly questions are from RCs and to solve RC sets in such less time all you need is reading speed and understanding the idea of the author and it can be achieved through reading newspaper. Read newspaper on daily basis. Apart from newspaper reading build habit of reading online contents as paper will be CBT. Once you are over through all the syllabus start giving mock test. As by giving mock test you will come to know about your performance and how much you are prepared for your exam. If you score low in your mock then don't bother about that just have a target that you have to increase your score as compared to your previous mock score. Thank you
