Assuming youve not yet selected your stream in Class 11, you may preferably take Arts, as many Top Colleges have the BA Program in Psychology. Incase, youve taken Science, no issues you do find Good Universities and Colleges having BSc in Psychology. But yeah, hopefully I believe youre not in Commerce.

The only way about gaining or triggering an Interest in Psychology, is by reading books, trying to understand and judge people well and having a knack for Writing, Listening, Conversations, Interpreting stuff and lots of reading. Psychology is not only an Art, you do have a lot of science behind. Psychology is connected to everything be it English, Economics or Education. You need to understand everything, perhaps all aspects of Art and Literature and a bit of Science. Some Good Books you might refer for triggering an interest and understanding psychology deeply before you finally begin with your UG course are

1. BLINK by Malcolm Gladwell

2. INFLUENCE: The Psychology of Persuation

3. Thinking Fast and Slow : Daniel Kahneman

4. Emotional Intelligence : Daniel Goleman

5. Power of Your Subconscious Mind : Joseph Murphy
