Hi,
JEE Advanced paper usually has questions that have negative marking. So the marks for any paper is calculated by deducting the negative marks from the scored correct marks. Then Combined score is calculated by taking scores from both paper 1 and paper 2. This combined total is the final score for a student in JEE Advanced. On the basis of this score, Rank is calculated for a student.
I hope this will solve your Query.
Thanks!!!
