Hello,

To Accept the seat you have to freeze your seat in this case you confirm the seat allotted to you. Once you have freezed the alloted seat then you won't be able to go further for the next rounds in the counselling.

There is no point of freeze or float in round 2 if you are allotted a seat in round 1. There is no way through which a candidate can reject his/her seat after round 2, so there is going to be no changes in seats allotted in round 3. Round 3 is only for the candidates who didn't get IIT in first round but got it in second because only they can reject seat.

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

dear aspirant,

Once you have floated your choice, they will be in float mode till the last round until you chose to freeze them in between .Suppose you have floated your choice in round 1 and you got your desired choice in round 4 and you want to freeze that seat, then only you have to report to RC and follow the procedure to freeze it otherwise they will be in float mode till the last round.

hope it helped.
