Hi,
To get admission into the NIT's , you have to give the JEE Mains exam. Based on the score obtained in this exam, you will be allotted some NIT. And if you want to go in IIT's , then you have to give the JEE Advanced exam.
But let me tell you that, to give the JEE Advanced exam, firstly you have to clear the JEE Mains exam. After you clear the respective cut-off of your category for both these exams, you have to participate in the JOSAA counselling.
Here you will be allotted a college as per your score obtained. Below, I am listing some major documents that you would require at the time of admission in NIT's and IIT's.
You may also need some more documents, but you can check them on repective college admission brochure by visiting their official website.
Hope it helps.
Hello Aspirant,
If you want to take admission in NITs then you should appear for JEE-Main and for admission to IITs you should clear JEE-Main and then should appear for JEE-Advance and should have good score to get seat in IITs and this is same for each category even if it is PwD but yes the cut-offs are quite low for PwD categories and also PwD candidates get reservation vertically but not horizontally means if you belongs to General category and have PwD certificate of more thatn 40% Disability then you will be considered as Gen-PwD and same thing with other categories. Now if we talk about documents then all documents are almost same which are needed for applications and admissions but for PwD candidates, there should be valid PwD certificate issued by the designated authorities.
