The college offers Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. It's a four years course.Admission Criteria:The candidate must have passed 10+2 and then admission to 1st semester B.Tech is through a State Entrance Examination(SEE), conducted by UP Technical University, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.

Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology, established in 1955, is a state government engineering institution located in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the oldest and premier institutions of India which offers B.Tech course in addition to various Diploma courses in multiple specializations.

- Admission to the B.Tech course is done through the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) conducted every year.Candidates seeking admission to the 4-year B.Tech course should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English as compulsory subjects.
- Admission to the Engineering Diploma courses is done on the basis of IERT entrance examination.Candidates applying for the 3-year Engineering Diploma courses should have passed High School (Class 10th) examination with Science and Maths.Candidates seeking admission to the 2-year Management diploma course should have passed 10+2 examination with English and Hindi studied in Class 10.
- Similarly, candidates applying for the one and half year post diploma in computer application should have done graduation in any discipline with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects.
- Admission to both the management diploma and post diploma in computer applications is done on the basis of IERT entrance examination followed by an interview.
