Economically weaker sections (EWS) under Gen category gets a reserved quota of 10% under Central and State govts
Eligibilty for the certificate is:
- General Cadidate
- Family income less than 8 LPA
- family agricultural land less than 5 acres
-
family residence less than 1000 sq ft (flat area), 100 - 200 sq yards (plot area)
Documents required:
- Income Certificate (mandatory)
- Adhaar Card (mandatory)
- Pan Card (mandatory)
- Caste Certificate
- BPL Card
- Bank Statement
- Recent Passport size photo
How to apply:
- Contact your local govt authority (tehsil)
- Contact an agent in Jan Sewa Kendra (CSC) nearby your location (work will be done faster this way)
- Go to the nearest common courier service center (CSC), and submit your required documents.
- They will fill the Certificate form and do the entire work for you.
- After that, wait for a month and you will get your EWS Certificate.
