Since this question was asked months ago, I hope you have got admission in any decent engineering college.
Answering to your question, Electronics and Communication branch of engineering develops everyday devices such as transistors, integrated circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) which can be used in computers, MP3 players, cell phones, television to name a few. Eligibility criteria required for admission is Students should have appeared in the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects. They have to appear for the various Engineering Entrance Exams such as JEE (for IIT, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and SFTIs), BITSAT (for BITS) and VITEEE (VIT University) to name a few. On the basis of their performance and counselling, the candidates are allocated the engineering branch.
