Dear aspirant,

NTSE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. A candidate who does not satisfy the eligibility criteria will not be considered for the admission process. Given below is the eligibility criteria set by NSTSS for school and graduation students.


NTSE Eligibility for school students:

  • Student must be appearing for class 10 examination from a recognized school.
  • Students who have applied for class 10 through open learning can appear for the NTSE exam.
  • Age must be less than 18 years.
  • All standards from class 1 to class 10 must be cleared.

NTSE Eligibility Criteria for graduation students :

  • Student must be appearing for class XII from a recognized school.
  • Class 11 examination must have been cleared without backlogs.
  • No backlogs in class 12 examination final results declared by CBSE or state boards.
  • Class 10 examinations must have been cleared with a minimum of 60 percent marks.
  • No age limit is defined.

How to Fill NTSE 2019 Application Form?

Candidates can fill the Application form offline after downloading it from the official website. Candidates can also access their Application form from the office of Liaison Officer.


After filling all details in Application Form candidates can submit the same via post to the address of State Liaison Officer. Candidates can also submit the application form by visiting themselves at the address of liaison officer. Given below are the steps candidates can follow to fill application form


Step 1: Registration and Downloading Application Form


Visit the official website of NTSE, www.ncert.nic.in

Click on link ‘Apply for NTSE 2019’

Candidates have to fill the following credentials:

Candidates Name

Date of birth

Mobile Number

Email ID

Educational Qualification etc.

After filling all the credentials click on ‘submit’

Download the NTSE Application Form

Candidates can also get their Application Form from the office of Liaison Officers

Step 2: Filling Details in NTSE Application form


Candidates have to fill the following details in the application form in their own handwriting:


Basic details, Category, Address and Educational details, etc.

Candidates have to affix their photograph and signature in the provided space.

Step 3: Candidates have to attest NTSE 2019 Application Form from their Principal.


Step 4: Application fee as specified by the state/UT needs to be remitted by the candidates.


Step 5: Candidates can submit their Application Form in the Liaison Office via post or visiting the address of liaison officer.

You can access their application form from the office of Liaison Officer. Separate application form for stage 1 and 2 need to be filled. Application fee may apply for Stage I as per state policies.
