Hi,

Jac delhi( joint admission counselling Delhi) is responsible for giving admission in 4 colleges in Delhi i.e. Delhi technological University also known as DCE, Netaji Subhash University of technology, Indraprastha institute of information technology and Indira Gandhi Delhi technological University for woman. To take admission in any of these colleges you have to register online at jac delhi website before 17th June 2019 which is the last date of application. After that there will be some rounds (6 rounds and one spot round) in which cutoff will be released. If you qualify in any of the selected course than you can attend the counselling of the college.

Another way is josaa counselling in which IITs nits IIIts and gftis participate for admission procedure. If you want to take admission in any nit or IIITs or gftis than you have to register online at josaa.

Josaa conducts application for all the best colleges in India while jac conduct admission process for best colleges of Delhi. It depends on you and your jee main rank that which counselling you register.

I will prefer you to fill both the forms because it will give you more opportunities and more areas and colleges to select for your further education.

hello sachin

  • there is a choice filling round in which you have to fill choices according to your preferences. Remember : Be careful while choice filling, choices should be strictly in order of your priorities. This is purely online.

Once you have entered all your choices, you have to lock your choices. Locking implies you are done  I.e. you will not change your choices in future.

After that you have to report to the nearest nit or iit based on the seat you get.

Coming to the meaning of freeze, float and slide.

  1. Freeze means you are happy with the college and branch which you got and you don't want to participate in further rounds.
  2. Slide means you are satisfied with the college but you want to upgrade your branch by participating in future rounds.
  3. Float means you are not satisfied with either of them and wish to continue your participation in future rounds.

there is also a special round at the end of all the rounds

Hello sachin,

JEE is the joint entrance exam for admission in IIT's, NIT's and top engineering colleges. For attending jee counselling you have to apply for it. They will give you a rank based on your score, and tell you about the place of counselling. You have to attend it, based on your cutoff you will get a college.
