Hope you are doing well. As per your query for becoming a General Manager in a Hotel you have to follow a lot of steps before that. First of all you have to get a degree in hotel management preferably or a graduation in any field allied to any relevant subject in hotel management. Then you have to get selected for a management training program of a reputed hotel chain or start at opening level. After that you will have to work in operational departments of the hotel through various ranks for a minimum number of years. After that you have to have training skills in business development and attend leadership programmes and then apply for the position. The salary varies a lot depending on the hotel chain.
