Hello,
You have to study chemical engineering or BSc in chemistry. Do Masters I.e. ME/MTech or MSc in a specialized domain. After masters, you can choose nuclear field as your research domain. You have to do PhD and work in that domain for 2 years. At the end you will propose a thesis on the topic which you worked for 2 years. That thesis will be verified and accepted by concerned authority.
By the end of PhD, you can look for job for nuclear scientist and work for research field. You can look for nuclear scientist job after masters but if you do after PhD, it provides more scope.
You have to do Masters and PhD from NIT/IIT so that you can get recognized for your work and get better job offers.
Hope it helps!
