How to become a commercial pilot
Hello Aspirant,
To become a commercial pilot you need to fullfil the following eligibility criteria
- You need to pass 10+2 with physics and maths as mandatory subjects scoring atleast 55% of marks in the above mentioned subjects from a recognised board.
- You must be proficient in English
- You need to go for class 2 medical exam and then class 1 medical exam by contacting Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
- Apply for a flying institutes and do register yourself and give their entrance exam and interview
- After you get a seat in any flying institute, you will be going for commercial pilot license (CPL) and you will be trained there for 2 years which includes 220-270 hours of flight time.You need to ask for Instruments rating and engine ratings as there are very important for you to get any job.
- Then you must go for type writing and Airline Transport Pilot Training (ATPL) which will be of 6 months training.If you do this along with CPL then you will get to fly plane above 5.7 ton.It is good if you do this outside India.
- Then look for jobs and pursure your dream job.
