After completing your graduation course in law, you can enroll yourself as an advocate in a Bar Council, you have to pass All India Bar Examination.
Candidates who clear AIBE are given 'Certificate of Practice' by the BCI which make them eligible to practice in court of law.
In addition to this, having practical experience in courts add a greater degree of value to one's growth in the career of law, for recruitment of district judge which is notified by respective state government including written test/oral interview, candidates are required to have a service of seven years of experience as an lawyer.
