Hello,

It is good to know that you have an interest in writing.

To become a writer the problem that most people face is writers block, where you don't get ideas or get confused about how to proceed with writing. To overcome this you need to believe in yourself and start writing as much as you can.

Writing a Fiction is very much different than non-fiction. When you write a non-fiction you need to carry out a lot of research to get the facts right.

Writing a cinema, a book, a short story or a poem, All these form of writing are unique in their own ways.

So as you can see there are various ways in which you can represent a written work.

NOw below I will mention the various stages that you need to go through to get your final book:

  1. Writing
  2. Acquisition
  3. Editing
  4. Printing
  5. Distribution

For example, if you want to write a story then start with an idea. To get ideas you need to observe the things and people around you. Then expand the idea into a few pages and read through it and see if it interests you. If it does continue writing.

Once you are done with the writing process then comes the editing. You can either do this by yourself (Author editing) or go to a publishing house and ask for their help. The problem with author editing is that we may miss some mistakes. But in a publisher editing there are professionals who would conduct different stages of editing making your work of better quality.

After editing comes the publishing stage. Here after the editing the book is formatted and then printed and then distributed.

I suggest you do some online courses to get an idea on creative writing and how the whole process takes place. You can do a course on creative writing offered by internshala which covers all the basics. This will help you in deciding what you would actually like to write about, whether fiction or non fiction, which genre, whether books or whether you would like to be a script writer and so on.

Do write as much as you can and participate in writing competitions. create a blog or a social media page where you can publish your work. Take part in literary events to get to know more about what all works are being produced everyyear, Read a lot and enjoy the process of writing.

Hope you found this useful and good luck to you.

Looking forward to read one of your works in the future.

Thankyou

Hi!

If you are a born writer, then you need not undergo courses for it! Or if you feel like, then you can take Certified Courses or Diploma in Creative Writing. You can work as a freelancer. Or try in MNCs, become a copywriter or descriptive writer. If in Newspapers, you can try in Times of India, Dell, Amazon, Oracle, etc,. You can become an author by writing your own books or poet by pening poems and ask any publisher to look into your work and publish it!

Hope this is helpful!

All the best!
