Candidates must pass 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board in order to pursue a career as an Indian Foreign Service Officer.
The UPSC test is required of every interested candidate who aspires to pursue a career as an Indian Foreign Service Officer. Eligibility to take the test: The candidate must be between the ages of 21 and 32. In order to sit for the UPSC examination, the candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in any area.
Only after passing the UPSC entrance exams will an applicant be permitted to attend the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration for intense training.They enter the Foreign Service Institute in New Delhi after completing their training at the academy, where they receive a specialised approach to their training in numerous disciplines.
