If you wish to become a top class shef or a reputed shef then it is advisable to complete a bachelor's degree after 12th class.

Some of the bachelor's degrees you can pursue are:

• Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) in Culinary (https://www.jodhpurihm.ac.in/academic/bsc-in-hospitality-and-hotel-administration)
  

• BSc in hospitality and Hotel Management

• B.Sc. in Catering Science and Hotel Management

• Certificate in Food Production and Patisserie

• PG Diploma in Culinary Arts

• BA in Culinary Arts

Entrance exams are also conducted on national, state and university level to get admission in top univeristies such as NCHMCTJEE. The exam is conducted every year on national level.

After completing the deegre, you can go for internship, with average salary of 50,000 per month as a fresher and the highest could be around 5 lakhs per month based on your skills and talent.

There are many top recruiters for shef profile such as : Marriott International, Inc., Hyatt Hotels, Accor Hotels, ITC Group of Hotels, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, The Oberoi Group , The Taj Group of Hotels, lords, Ginger Hotels, Lemon Tree Hotels etc.

Then after internship you are ready for a full-time job.
