Being a chef is an interesting profession . It comes with many resposibilities and challenges but to reach that position you need to gain a goid amount of experience. Exposure and learning through practical experience and observation matters more than you degree. Hence you will have to focus on gaining that. It is not that complicated though, since you are planning to do hotel management degree you will learn many essential skills and how the hospitality industry works . So if you if are knowledge and skills you will be selected by good hotels during placements. You may try outside placement too in case you are not satisfied with it . Just lookout for openings or hiring notifications in all top hotels and apply . During the course period try doing internships at good hotels as that can add value to your resume and learning. To become head chef you need patience , so right after finishig the degree you will be eligible to enter as a fresher and work under experienced professionals or teams as an assistant. Later as you gain experience , based your intitiative attitude , interest level, dedication and grasping power , you will promoted within a short while and with hard work you can become head chef , more responsibilities and better output from you side will make you be considered for superior position, it all depends on your talent.

see you may known about many chef who does ot have any professional hotel management degree, but have become a chef because of their hard work, dedication, passion for the kind of work. now after achieving a hotel management degree you would be eligible to apply for hotel managerial post, executive post in hotel and restaurant Industry. besides practical works you may join culinary schools to learn and achieve a course certificate. I would suggest to first work for internships, small restaurants to get work experience.
