After your graduation, you can either opt for postgraduate diplomas related to nutrition and dietetics (such as Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics & Public Health Nutrition), or a Master's degree in Food & Nutrition.
Also, if candidate wants to become a pediatric nutritionist, the candidates must earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics which is specific to the guidelines set by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
The average course fee is INR 1,00,000-5,00,000
This course mainly deals with:
Food Science, Infection Control, Pediatric Allergies, Human Anatomy Nutrition Therapy, Critical Care Nutrition.
At the end of the course, the candidates will have to submit a research thesis on a relevant topic of Biochemistry which will be used for final evaluation.
An additional certification along with completing an internship at a hospital, children's hospital, pediatrician's office or community health center may help the candidate learn practical clinical skills while earning hours toward their professional certification.
Then after getting certification or licensure,the candidate will be ready to practice.
