Hello!

There are various ways for you to pursue research after MBBS. You can go for the following courses after MBBS:-

  • MD(Doctorate in medicine)
  • PSM(Preventive & Social Medicine )
  • MPH(Masters in Public Health)

If you go for specializations like Pharmacology in MD, then you can do significant research work with WHO. One can go for medical research leading to Ph.D. Postgraduates in medicine with 60 per cent marks are eligible to apply for Ph.D. Selection will be on the basis of an entrance test and interview. If you get UGC- CSIR or ICMR fellowship can directly appear for interview. You can subsequently go for Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance, epidemiolgy, molecular biology or Regulatory affairs or clinical microbiology or nano medical science in US/NEW ZEALAND/UK, if you consider researching in abroad countries.

Hope this helps!
