Hey Rahul,
Self-preparation proves to be effective if one has the potent to stay motivated thoroughly till the end. You need to devote yourself sincerely towards the CAT preparation every day. Structure your whole timetable in advance keeping in view the future plans and daily activities. So that you do not end up with the anxiety of finishing multitasks. Your plan must help you to complete the syllabus wholly and spare you enough time for practicing at least 40 mocks before 2 weeks of the final test.
For preparing by yourself, i would suggest some online material that is free of cost and would help you prepare for CAT.
Online material- Home - Wordpandit, totalgadha, pagalguy
Online videos-mainly youtube- topic wise - mainly for quant and LR concepts
Books- Quant: Arun Sharma; Coaching material
Sectional Tests- for DILR, RC and Quant
Test Series- IMS, Time is good.
I would suggest to make an account on various online platforms to keep yourself updated- pagalguy, etc. There are various cat preparation groups on facebook as well.
Hope it helps
