Thus, to ensure the equity in assessing the performance of all the test takers, the exam conducting authority introduced the percentile system based on normalization process. The formula to calculate JEE Main percentile score of a candidate:
(100 * Number of candidates appeared in the 'Session' with RAW score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate) / Total Number of Aspirant appeared in the 'Session'
