how to calculate marks from percentile??
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing well,
The percentile is a statistical interpretation of data in which it changes every year. As it depends on candidates participated in exam at the particular year. For same marks the percentile will be changing every year. So it is not possible to calculate the CET marks without the proper data.
For percentile calculation the following fomulae is used:
{(No. of students having marks less than 57) / (Total number of students that appeared in the examination)} * 100
You can convert a rank k into a percentile by: Computing 100k/N. This value will range from 100/N through 100N/N=100. Note the asymmetry: the highest is 100 but the lowest is nonzero.
So as you see that you have to know the data of how many students that has scored below your percentile or marks and then the total number of student that appeared for the examination. If you know this values you can calculate it. Without that information it will be difficult to predict percentile or marks.
Check below link to predict colleges,
Good luck
Hii,
You have not mentioned about the exam you are asking to convert percentile into marks
So, i believe you probably asking for MHT CET
Below is the formula to convert percentile into score..
MHT CET Percentile Score = 100 x (Number of candidates in exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of candidates in the exam
Hope this will help you,
All the very best!!
