how to calculate percentile in apeamcet pl.
Hello,
Unlike JEE Main, AP EAMCET result is given in terms of rank. There is no need to calculate the percentile. The marks scored will be normalized because there are multiple sessions that are being conducted and there will be difference in difficulty level. Normalization will eliminate such variances is difficulty level.
Normalization marks of the candidate= GMS+ ((Top average global-GMS)/(Top average session-GMS))*marks obtained by the candidate-SMS
GMS= (Average + Standard Deviation) of all the candidates across all sessions together
SMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session in which the candidate belongs to
Top average session= Average marks scored by the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session in which the candidate belongs to
Top average global=Average marks scored by top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions Together
After normalization 75% EAMCET+25% IPE group subject marks weightage will be added and determines the rank of a student.
